1/18 Hot Wheels Massa Ferrari F2007 Photo!
Also, here's another photo of a Schumi Shanghai model. This time with "Danke Schumi" type figurine & worn slick tyres. This is just a prototype model as the official release has rain tyres and normal figurine. Still looks pretty good though!

New Hot Wheels on eBay!
The 1/18 Fernando Alonso Renault WORLD CHAMPION - BRAZILIAN GP SAO PAULO 2006 edition has made an appearance on ebay - #300142848136. It will be available from the usual retailers in approx 2 - 3 weeks. As with the Schumi Ferraris Mattel have produced a completely new mould for this version with the R26 in late season aero package.

Also from the same seller is a 1/18 Michael Schumacher Ferrari F248 Monza GP version with driver figurine. It is being sold without box so it may just be some kind of prototype model, as the official release is without driver figurine.

Another version of Schumacher Shanghai ???
It seems there are actually two versions of the Michael Schumacher F248 Shanghai 91 Wins Ltd. Ed. from Hot Wheels. The regular release is Ltd. Ed. 9591pcs. and states this on base plate. However, a "PRIVATE COLLECTION" Ltd. Ed. 200pcs. version has also been produced. At present it isn't known whether this release has been produced for a particular retailer / supplier or whether it has just been integrated with the standard release. Contact me or ,leave a comment if you have any further info.

Minichamps 1/18 BMW 2007 Showcar Dealer Edition released
BMW Sauber 2007 showcars by Minichamps have started to appear on eBay. Both drivers are available - Nick Heidfeld & Robert Kubica. They are BMW Dealer Editions which are usually available to order in certain BMW dealerships. Minichamps won't be releasing these 1/18 showcars in normal Minichamps boxes (1/43 will be produced though) - they'll just be producing the race cars.

Hamilton 1st Win 1/18 & 1/43 Announced!

Minichamps have announced the 1/43rd and 1/18th McLaren which Lewis Hamilton drove to his maiden Grand Prix victory at the Canadian Grand Prix on the 10th of June 2007.
This all-new version of the 2007 McLaren MP4-22 features the new ‘bridge’ front wing and endplates and also the new revised rear wing and mounts which was part of the new aero package designed for Canada. This does require a new tooling to be made by Minichamps, so it will be markedly different from the standard versions already announced.

Hot Wheels Schumacher Ferrari F248 Monza Released!

Hot Wheels have released the Michael Schumacher F248 Monza GP 2006 in 1/18 scale. The driverless car which has after race dirt effect is mounted on a leather base with a Schumacher podium figurine alongside. It is a Ltd. Ed. 9290pcs.
Hot Wheels deserve some credit as they have actually manufactured this version with the correct low downforce aero. package for Monza.
Perhaps this is an excuse for buying all 3 Schumacher Ltd. Eds. - Monza, Shanghai, Brazil - each of the cars will be slightly different - all having the correct rear wing, aero parts etc. for each race.

Minichamps Renault Showcar Promos
In addition to the Fisichella & Kovalainen show cars, it appears Minichamps have produced a further two versions of the Renault R27 2007 1/43 Showcar without driver figurine. These two models have been doing the rounds on ebay recently.
The first is in the normal Minichamps box. It is a promotional model for new sponsor ING. It is thought that around 100pcs have been produced which have been given to ING employees / associates. There is no UPC code on the box.

The second is a promotional model by Minichamps for Team Renault itself. It comes on special base in slightly larger Minichamps case with Renault cardboard sleeve. It isn't known how many have been produced, although the fact it has been rarely seen on ebay and hasn't been available from online retailers suggest the number is pretty low.
